We just finished the Newlywed Cape Cod floors project, it felt like 4 days of crazy. Thankfully my awesome family took care of our littles and let us focus on helping a friend get his new house move in ready ASAP.

We used Minwax products – Wood Finish Penetrating Stain in Red Mahogany, Super Fast Drying Polyurethane for Floors in Semi-Gloss, and tested their Sanding Sealer.

Check out our Sanding Sealer review on Home Depot for more information on why you maybe should not waste your time or money on the extra step of applying a sanding sealer.

Painting, painting, painting right now.

Thought I would shWooster 2 in. Polyester Angle Sash Brushare one of my favorite items! This brush comes at a great price and has performed better for me than brushes 3x the price. (Only $5.47 at our local Home Depot!)It is my secret to cutting without painter’s tape and reaching small spaces. the short handle also helps with accuracy and it a great size for my medium-sized hands!

Cutting without painter’s tape is a learned skill – like calligraphy. Cutting well is way more time efficient, cost efficient and less wasteful than having to tape all the time.  If you are painting once in a great while, cutting may not be for you. But if you want to learn and are painting a lot, this brush is well worth it!
